Guesthouse rooms with a true apartment style
In the Berggasthof Restaurant "Zum Hias", we
offer five rooms with a lounge, a TV, a telephone and a balcony
as well as our large and quiet sun terrace. All our rooms further
offer a red foot tub for our guests to make use of our Prof. Tepperwein
health treatments during their relaxing holidays!
Guesthouse Rettenbacher
Right next to the Berggasthof „Zum Hias“, you
find our Guesthouse
Rettenbacher, featuring a lounge, a play area, a swimming
pool and a curling rink. Most of our guests staying in the ***
Pension Rettenbacher also book the “Hias”’ inexpensive
half-board.
Only a few steps away from the Hias and the Guesthouse
Rettenbacher, guests find the house’s own curling rink.
Our regular customers especially love this Austrian winter sport
activity. Fun for the whole family!
The Berggasthof „Zum Hias“ as well as the Guesthouse
Rettenbacher are surrounded by green meadows and offer a magnificent
view of the village of Russbach in the Salzburgerland region as
well as the surrounding mountains: the Tennengebirge, the Gosaukamm
and the Donnerkogel (Salzburg Dolomites).
Russbach on the Gschütt Pass
Is a famous and popular vacation spot right in the middle
of the Salzburgerland region:
Skiing and snowboarding on the Dachstein as well as winter
walks and cross-country skiing on the many paths in and around
Russbach in the winter. Nordic Walking, hiking (Dachstein, Gosau
Lake) and day trips into the Salzkammergut and the city of Salzburg
in the summer. Furthermore, there is a water park in Russbach,
offering a canoe route, a play stream, a nature pool and the famous
valley of fossils with its fossil snails. Our guests’ children
are entertained by trained nannies in the Childrens’ Club
Spatzennest
right in Russbach.

kitchen, using regional specialities such as lamb, venison, fish,
beef and veal. Our exquisite speciality: dishes made from young
horse meat!
Leo Rettenbacher is a true wine connoisseur.
He is in charge of the service as well as the restaurant’s
harmonious decoration.
Kathi Rettenbacher is in charge of the
house’s guests. She keeps coming up with new and joyful
ideas for the Jungbrunnenweg
(„the path of the fountain of youth“), a nature and
adventure path for children as well as grown-ups.
Together with their employees, the form a happy and swift
team whose goal it is to bring cosiness and wellbeing to the guests
